Disclosure & Barring Service Checks

A DBS check is a way for employers to check your criminal record, to help decide whether you are a suitable person to work for them. This includes deciding whether it is suitable for you to work with children or vulnerable adults.

To complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check, you will need to provide:

  • Proof of date of birth
  • National Insurance Number
  • Drivers Licence (if applicable)
  • Passport (if applicable)
  • Address for the last 5 years

If attending the centre, please ensure you have all of the above to verify your application so it can be submitted on the same day.

If you do not have all of the above, for example: driving licence or passport this can be substituted with council tax form, bank statement or birth certificate.

If in doubt please contact us.

Please Note* - if returning the completed application by post please ensure you have the correct postage, otherwise this could result in a lost application or delays.

Please Note* Disclosure and Barring Service Applications have to be completed in person within our facilities.
